Dr. Filiberto Rodriguez is the current president of the Texas Cosmetic Surgery Society. He is the founder of RGV Cosmetic Surgery and Vein Care in the Rio Grande Valley, where he specializes in cosmetic surgery and varicose vein disease.

He is a double board-certified cosmetic surgeon: board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and board-certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is one of the few cosmetic surgeons in the country with advanced fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rodriguez graduated magna cum laude from McAllen Memorial High School. He attended Princeton University and received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed nine years of extensive General, Thoracic, and Cardiovascular surgical training at Stanford University. He ultimately chose to pursue training in plastic and cosmetic surgery at UCLA and the Body Sculpting Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Rodriguez has authored and co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at over 50 international conferences. Recognized as an expert in revision breast augmentation and complex abdominoplasty surgery, he is often invited to speak at national cosmetic surgery meetings. Dr. Rodriguez is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He serves as an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and also as Trustee for the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

In addition to cosmetic surgery, Dr. Rodriguez also applies his expertise in cardiovascular surgery and vascular ultrasound to provide state-of-the-art care and minimally invasive treatments for varicose vein disease.
