About TCSS

The Texas Cosmetic Surgery Society is a multi-specialty surgical society, which upholds excellence in the delivery and development of cosmetic surgery. Educational programs and opportunities are provided to each member for the purpose of sharing surgical experience and knowledge. Not only does the society promote ethical responsibilities and behavior of its members, but it also seeks to contribute to the welfare of the public, support its members through education, communication and advocacy, and advance the field of cosmetic surgery.

Texas Cosmetic Surgery Society (TCSS) members are all board-certified surgeons who specialize in the field of cosmetic surgery. This includes plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, head and neck surgeons, and general surgeons. Members attend annual meetings organized by TCSS that provide cosmetic surgery lectures, live surgery workshops, and seminars on ethics and patient safety.

TCSS members are dedicated to the art of cosmetic surgery and are devoted to providing the highest possible standard of care to their patients. Most of our members are board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in addition to our primary American Board of Medical Specialties (AMBS) surgical specialty. This demonstrates the highest criteria of knowledge, training, and expertise in the field of cosmetic surgery, while practicing in an ethical and safe manner. To be board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS), Surgeons must first be board certified in an ABMS surgical specialty and then complete an additional one-year advanced fellowship dedicated to cosmetic surgery. The ABCS conducts background checks and screening on all applicants to ensure no history of criminal record or substance abuse. ABCS surgeons must comply with a strict code of ethics as well as show the highest level of skill in cosmetic surgery.
